Family Legacy By Design Video Sessions

SESSION 1 (15:03)

Legacy coaching begins with calling, not career ambition. This session helps advisors recognize God’s invitation to step into the sacred work of guiding families through identity, purpose, stewardship, and generational wisdom. Participants learn how influence, credibility, and story intersect to shape a “ministry in the marketplace” mindset.

SESSION 2 (14:38)

Great coaches listen beneath the surface. This session trains advisors in humility, presence, and the pastoral skill of drawing out “deep waters” in the heart (Prov. 20:5). It explores posture, tone, emotional awareness, and the spiritual discernment needed to navigate sensitive family conversations.

SESSION 3 (12:15)

Advisors learn to think three generations ahead. This session reframes wealth, influence, and family leadership through a long-term lens—helping families connect their decisions today with their impact 30, 50, even 100 years from now. It builds Kingdom-oriented thinking around purpose and calling.

SESSION 4 (10:34)

Legacy coaching requires both technical competence and relational wisdom. This session explains how estate planning, governance, wealth transfer, and tax strategy integrate with values, family dynamics, and communication. Advisors learn why both “engines” must run together.

SESSION 5 (12:57)

Advisors working with UHNW families face unique pressures—financial, relational, spiritual. This session equips them to stay grounded, maintain integrity, resist greed, and serve from a place of freedom and objectivity. It shapes the character needed to guide families without bias.

SESSION 6 (11:28)

Advisors learn how to structure a 12-month coaching pathway with rhythm, cadence, deliverables, and outcomes. This session walks through frameworks for intake, session flow, communication guidelines, meeting templates, and milestone mapping.

Legacy Doesn’t Happen by Accident.

We are living through the largest wealth transfer in history, yet wealth alone does not create unity or wisdom. Without preparation and clarity, what was meant to bless a family can quietly divide it. Many families have strong financial plans, but far fewer have a clearly designed legacy. Without intention, legacy drifts—and drift eventually divides.

Wealth Transfers. Values Don’t Automatically.

But shared mission, spiritual clarity, and generational alignment require intentional conversation and leadership.

Preparation Is More Important Than Distribution.

The question is not simply what will be passed down—but who the next generation is becoming before they receive it.

“We heard about Tom and spent two full days with him as he personally walked us through his process. We really put that to memory and, as Tom says, ‘Take it and run with it,’ we’ve done just that. Now we’re applying his process not only for ourselves and our own family but also for our clients. What’s remarkable is how much we’re learning along the way. As facilitators, we end up learning as much as everyone else in the process.”

David Harper Founder/ Partner- Legacy Foundation Partners

“I’ve known Tom Conway for about 25 years. He’s not only a great friend but also a great mentor to me. We both work in the wealth management and generosity field, and I’ve learned so much from him as we’ve encouraged families in the stewardship of their wealth and generosity. I tend to focus more on the technical planning side, but one of Tom’s greatest gifts is his pastoral counselor’s heart. While most professionals approach things technically—as attorneys, accountants, or advisors—Tom has a unique ability to mentor and counsel, drawing out from families what they truly want to achieve from a heart perspective. It’s always a thrill to partner with Tom in serving families as they steward their wealth and resources.”

Michael King Vice President- Gift Planning Services- NCF

"I’ve been on this journey for over 20 years, seeking to learn everything I can about what families need to do—not only to leave a financial legacy but also to strengthen the relational fabric of their families. Tom is a master teacher.

Generosity as a Formation Tool: Teaching the Next Generation Through Giving

Generosity as a Formation Tool: Teaching the Next Generation Through Giving Why giving isn’t just a strategy—it’s a shaping force When we think about generosity, we often think about outcomes—gifts made, causes supported, foundations established. But what if generosity isn’t just about what we give away—but what it builds within us? For families of wealth, […]

Why Identity Is the Cornerstone of Legacy

Why Identity Is the Cornerstone of Legacy Start with who they are before deciding what they’ll receive. When most families begin planning their legacy, the questions tend to revolve around what will be passed on, how it will be distributed, and who will receive what. These are important questions—but they’re not the first ones families […]
